The Twollars Charity Guide to Twitter

We realized that many charities on Twitter are still finding it difficult to reach a large audience. We hope that with this guide we can help some of those charities reach their full potential on Twitter.

Download a copy of the PDF or have a read below first.

If you would like to get involved and help us expand this guide or make a quick recommendation please send a tweet with the hashtag #charityguide (a tag you place in a tweet for people to find it via search), leave a comment below or email me at: eiso@twollars.com

The launch of Twollars V2

May 22, 2009 - Blog - 6 comments

Today is the launch of Twollars, version 2. It’s almost four and a half months since we launched the first version. During the first 11 weeks of Twollars, I met and talked with hundreds of people. Many, I met in real life; many more, via Twitter and Skype. For the first time, Mac and I started really understanding the meaning of the word community. It was no longer just two guys who met on Twitter sharing a vision.

The feedback that came in was incredible, and at times overwhelming in trying to respond to everyone as soon as possible. It’s the people who took the time to talk with us, give us ideas, share our vision or just encourage us that have brought us to this point. It was 7 weeks ago that Mac and I returned home after spending 10 days in the US. Once back home, I realized that it was time to start building the next version. I started from scratch and worked 7 days a week, 15 hours a day designing the site and working on making Twollars better. After about two weeks, I decided to set a deadline for the launch. I set it to the 22nd of May. Appropriately, my co-founder’s birthday (Happy Birthday Mac!).

I am happy to announce that we made our deadline, put in every feature we had planned and more! I hope you enjoy the new site and start checking out some of the new features:

What changed?

We hope that with this version, you will again take the time to let us know the good, the bad and the ugly. We look forward to your feedback!

All the best,

Eiso & Mac

p.s. I would like to mention a special thank you to Peter who I have had the pleasure to work with and learn from. Also a special thank you goes out to Parminder who took the time to proof read all content and gave a lot of advice along the way.
